Working at Heights Without Fall Protection Can Be Deadly

As safety professionals, when we are out driving, (running errands, picking up the kids, whatever...) we can't help it. Anytime we see road construction, a new building going up, residential construction, window cleaners on a high-rise, flaggers on the road, anything with scaffolding...well, you know, we have to look. We have to see how things are going, how things are being done and of course, is everyone being safe.

Sadly, more often than not, lack of fall protection is what pops out at us the most. These hard-working men and women are putting their life on the line everyday to build our cities, our roads, our malls, our apartments.... and one wrong step could become very serious, very fast.

Examples of Construction Fall Hazards

All of these photos were taken on our daily drives. Take a look at these photos. Can you spot the potential fall hazards in each situation?
