This safety video program on Using Fire Extinguishers discusses the types of fire extinguishers there are and when each type should be used. It also provides practical guidance on how to use a fire extinguisher employing the “P.A.S.S.” method.
When a fire happens in a workplace, often the first thing people do is panic. This can lead to the fire getting out of control and workers being hurt. But it doesn’t have to be that way. When workers know how to use a fire extinguisher to put out small fires before they become big ones, lives can be saved and damage can be minimized.
Areas covered in the program include information on:

- extinguisher types- dry chemical and carbon dioxide,
- extinguisher types- water and foam,
