This safety video program on Motorized Pallet Truck Safety discusses the hazards that can be associated with walkies and walkie riders, and explains the procedures and equipment that employees can use to avoid them.
Pallet trucks are more agile and easier to handle than a forklift. And when palletized loads need to be moved around a workplace, walkies and walkie riders can do a great job. But as with all material handling equipment, pallet trucks can create serious hazards if they're misused, leading to severe injuries and even fatalities.
