This safety video program on Workplace Violence for California Employees discusses the different types of violence employees can encounter in the workplace, the warning signs they can look for, and how to handle aggressive or violent behavior if it does occur. The course also provides practical guidance on how to help implement a Workplace Violence Prevention Plan that complies with California’s SB553 Bill.
When employees spend so many of their waking hours at work, there are times they are bound to have some bad days. But when someone’s temper gets out of hand and they become aggressive or violent, it puts everyone’s safety in jeopardy. And that’s not the only type of potential workplace violence to worry about.
There are also external threats, like unhappy customers or attempted robberies. And while potential violence often leads to panic and chaos, it doesn't have to be that way. So it’s important that every employee knows how to anticipate, prevent, and report workplace violence.
