This safety video program on Front-End Loader Safety: Operating and Spotting for Front-End Loaders discusses how to prepare to operate a front-end loader and how to use one safely. It also provides practical guidance on how to act as a spotter for a front-end loader while keeping yourself, the operator, and others in the area safe.
Many job sites use heavy equipment to help haul, dig, and transport materials. They make jobs more efficient, but they can also make them more dangerous. In fact, construction workers frequently suffer injuries while operating or spotting for front-end loaders.
